Played pro baseball for the Cincinnati Reds and Texas Rangers. A Collegiate Baseball Coach. Worked as a scout for the Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds.

Lonnie Williams was an accomplished athlete at Tucson High. Choosing not to pursue his football scholarship options, Mr. Williams attended the University of Arizona on an academic scholarship where he excelled. Upon graduating from the UofA, he then attended Yale Law School to obtain his degree.
Since obtain his law degree he has accomplished many feats in his career, to include being named partner at one of the largest law firms in Phoenix, Arizona.

Helped lead THS to a State Championship before moving on to play College Football at Yale University. after graduating from Yale, he then attended Oxford University, he attended as a Rhodes Scholar, then went on to Harvard Law School. As a lawyer, he worked the very top of the business and government sectors. he was the Assistant Secretary of Commerce during John F. Kennedy/ Lyndon B. Johnson administrations.

First African American Letter Winner at The University of Arizona. Starred in Football and Track & Field. University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. A hurdler on the track and a standout on the football field, Batiste still holds some impressive records over 70 years after the conclusion of his career. His 87-yard punt return versus Denver during the 1949 season still stands as the third-longest return in program history. Batiste overcame racial discrimination throughout his career to pave the way for future Wildcats of color to compete.
